Welcome to Valerie Freestone Designs

Founded by yours truly, I am a dedicated self-taught artist with a penchant for capturing beauty through colorful paintings both abstract and figurative. I currently live and work in Wallkill, New York where I explore the creative process by approaching it through curiosity. With my love of colors, textures and forms, I desire to capture the beauty of the natural world around me or the expression of a feeling.

My art journey began with the overwhelming joy I had in art class as a child and has taken me through different career paths over the past two decades. After studying visual art for two years, I have had the privilege of being a freelance graphic designer, a mosaic artist and now a painter of fine art. I’ve grown to love the process of creating paintings that touch others in surprisingly deep ways. My paintings and mosaics hang in several private collections in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and California.

I am grateful for the exchange of interactions with my audience, collaborating with my growing community of artist friends and collectors and working with other creatives to become “unstuck.”

My mission is to convince each person they only need to tap into the well of creativity they have. We are all artists and creative beings.
